Q: What is Second Life?

A: Second Life is a computer generated graphical virtual world on the Internet where people can create one or more avatars they use to interact with the various virtual worlds in Second Life as well as other avatars.

Q: Are female avatars not welcomed in Romanum?

A: Female avatars welcomed in Romanum. We have numerous female merchants. But being a Sim designed for gay and bisexual men, we do restrict some rights of females including owning land.

Q: Why is Romanum rated adult?

A: Romanum is rated adult because explicit sexual behavior is allowed in public as well as private in Romanum. There are some rules of behavior, but the rules are liberal. Thus only adults may play in Romanum.

Q: How do I become a citizen and thus roleplayer in Romanum?

A: By filling out an application on this website. You will then be invited by Emperor Galtier to Romanum's roleplay group, "Empire of Romanum"

Q: How do I join the Gladiators?

A: The Romanum Gladiators have their own group, "The Romanum Gladiators" which is by invitation only. Please contact Aeon Guardian in-world to join this group.

Q: How do I join the Legionnaires?

A: The Romanum Legion have their own group, "The Romanum Legion" which is by invitation only. Please contact Mark Rolendis or Camaron Spanton in-world to join this group.

Q: Is Romanum a combat Sim?

A: No, Romanum is not a combat Sim. However we do have combat / fighting opportunities in our two major groups - The Roman Gladiators and The Roman Legion. Both groups use the DCS2 meter. DCS2 can also be used by non-combatant roles in Romanum.

Q: Is roleplay strictly enforced in Romanum?

A: Romanum encourages roleplay, but does not strictly enforce it. We want avatars outside the "Out of Characters" areas to wear ancient Roman clothing or go nude (if men).

Q: What is Club Romanum?

A: Club Romanum is a modern day dance club in Romanum IV. It is intended as an escape from ancient Roman roleplay allowing people to socialize with modern dance music while in Romanum.
