Regent - Statements The Regent opened with the status of MERCVRIVS , who is Romanum's 1st citizen, Head of the Karu Family & a very close friend to Emperor & many others here. All were happy at the news that MERCVRIVS has returned to his RL home, even if his SL time may be limited. Anthony Lovett (anthonylovett) ( DJ Tony ) is in contact with him and can let people know how he is. Janu Octavius mentioned that prayers were offered this past Friday in Pompeii The Regent thanked all that provided anniversary events including swimming, archery, poetry, fights, races & Music & performance. He also thanked all who participated. The Regent also asked all those that use the audio stream to returned it to the Romanum default when finished ( http://pstnet2.shoutcastnet.com:20760/stream). The Regent moved on to the work about the city (sims). Romanum II is shaping Up thanks to Ariels continuing work on it with the Navy Area, a conference/ meeting area A new forest / park/ & beach area to explore & special area for upcoming community events. He praised the work by Ariel. * Bacchus Cult / temple is Now Set up in the Romanum II Forest Planning on the re dedication of the Temple on the 28th April at 12 Noon slt, and Boby will become a Flamen of Bacchus & help Jerome with activities Romanum III Tiberivs has Moved to where Rodicus & Leif were (Next to Bjorn) & is making a custom Villa. So land where he was ( next to Boby ) is available. They discussed meeting after Tuesday's sparring. II. RELIGIOUS LIFE The Pontifex Maximus stated that nothing had changed in the religious life of Romanum. However, the Temple of Bacchus will probably reopen with Boby as his Flamen, on April 28th. , as the Regent said. On the following day, Saturday, the Flortalien begins. Ariel will have more detailed information. III. TRIBUNATE REPORT Senate Lead advised at this stage a new Tribunate has yet to be appointed/elected. If there are citizens out there who would like the chance to serve Romanum in a Tribune capacity, please let the Regent know. IV. UPCOMING EVENTS Cmd. Gen. Skip discussed reviving RP involving outlaws or other interactive RP. Discussion about past success ensued and what could be done to encourage others to be involved. This followed with a discussion if this would require the use of combat meters. Scribe Dakota mentioned that dice could be used to determine the outcome. Cmd General Skip added that such RP is not mainly combat. All present will think the matter over for ideas. V. Regent - Statements The Regent thanked Ejix, Petrus, Tony and the Imperator for the Mercurivs memorial service, special and heartfelt. The Regent continued by saying that the Mercurivs statue was placed in the forum to honor the First Citizen of Romanum. Memorial items placed in that place may remain. It is believed that the Imperator will work with the Karu family to retain important legacy items and assets in Romanum III. The Regent added that the First Citizen, Mercurivs, was a great man and will be missed. The Regent then moved onto Sim news: The Regent thanked Ariel for his work on the Navy Project and the Floralia event. Also Adjid was thanked for his support in Romanum II. Boby has been installed as Flamen Legatus for Bacchus and Jerome retained as Flamen for Bacchus. Special events are in the planning stage. Additionally, there is an ocean front property and two villas available for rent on Romanum III. Adjid mentioned that the Bacchus temple may be interested in assisting in the Romanum II rental costs. This led to further discussion on the events at the Bacchus Temple. The Regent advised the meeting that Romanum II is a Coop & Empire land for public use, things Like navy, conference center, Bacchus and Ariel's new park. ( Ariel, Adjid, Regent and Tony are responsible for rental ) The question was raised if the Gladiator Appreciation dance would return to the Bacchus temple site or remain in the Rvins. Ultimately, it was determined that this will be left for the Host and DJ to decide. It was pointed out by the Regent that the Rvins site has the advantage of being a sky-box and more suitable for OOC friends to visit. Senator Tiberivs mentioned the need for regular events at the Bacchus Temple. Bacchus Flamen Legatus Boby mentioned that now the foundation is in place, there is still the need for dance balls and other items to be set up around the pool. II. RELIGIOUS LIFE The Pontifex Maximus stated that "the religious life in Rome is dragging along a bit laboriously, although we have finally succeeded in inaugurating the Bacchus temple, the Flamen Legatus is Senator Boby, and the successful Floralia, thanks to Pontifex Ariel, otherwise I can only add that I will start next week I am on a pilgrimage to upper Italy and will probably not be back until the first week of June, probably June 6th." III. TRIBUNATE REPORT Senate Lead advised at this stage the Tribunate is adjourned. IV. UPCOMING EVENTS The Regent made a major announcement that Romanum is an official Second Pride Sponsor! Second Pride will be June 9th-18th, 2023. It was further added that it is important that Romanum be seen as supporting Second Pride. Romanum will have a tent near the park and a boardwalk installation. When Pride is open, it may bring new visitors to Romanum, who are not familiar with our RP. Please help them as you can. Additionally, Senator Boby, Senator Jonny and Club Romanum, whose donations made the sponsorship possible, were thanked for their huge contributions. The meeting expressed pleasure at the news of the continuation of Second Pride sponsorship. The Regent advised that he has sent details of Romanum locations at Pride in the Empire of Romanum Group and also reminded that the sponsorship arrangement does not circumvent our own Pride parties and events in Romanum. Regent - Statements The Regent thanked the Pontifex Maximus for organizing and providing the Quinquatria (Mars & Minerva) Celebrations. The Regent also thanked everyone who attended the RP Ceremony & Banquet in Pompeii theme party. As well as those who attended Mars Chariots & Minerva Gladiators; both as participants & spectators. An event at the Temple of Mars is Planned following this Meeting. The Regent advised that arrangements at the Palace are as follows: Ejix Silvercloud Galtier Karu will continue with the servus at the Palace, as Servus Lead & be assisted by his brother Jasoni Alecto. Ras Galtier Parthicus as Artistic Director / (coordinator ) for Palace events. The Regent also discussed changes with Romanum II sim. Rom II is moving forward again with a coop of donors - the Regent, Ariel Vindelici, Adjid Ptolemeus and Anthony (Tony) Lovett, Most of it is set as an area for Community Projects & spaces like the Legion Navy, a new forested area, meeting space, etc. Ariel has been taking the lead in creating the spaces. Community Projects will continue to be developed or will find a new home there as we go. The Regent mentioned that Romanum's 13th Anniversary is coming up March 24th-April 1st. b. Matters arising for discussions as proposed on the floor by Senators. None II. RELIGIOUS LIFE The Pontifex Maximus stated that nothing had changed in the religious life of Romanum. He added that the Minerva events have actually been quite successful. He further added that no action has been taken by jerome Abara Karu Antonius concerning the Bacchus Temple. If nothing happens by the week before Easter, he will consider making Boby Galtier Leone Collinwood the Flamen of the Bacchus Temple. III. TRIBUNATE REPORT The Senate Lead advised that the Tribunate is currently adjourned. The Regent advised Tribunes are still In a holding pattern. The hope is next month we will begin rebuilding them with either appointments or an election as Interest allows and with a renewed purpose. IV. UPCOMING EVENTS The Regent discussed the upcoming Romanum's 13th Anniversary (March 24th-April 1st). The event schedule is still being finalized. The Opening ceremony noon Friday March 24th. Chariots / Gladiators tournaments 25th Palace Anniversary Ball 1 PM SLT 25th Poetry Competition 31st noon at Pantheon Ending Party 31st 1 pm (After Poetry ) Other mid week events maybe included and are encouraged. Ras is coordinating both the Palace Ball and the Poetry Competition. Senator Boby asked a question concerning the Regent and himself setting a time to look at advertising venues. The Regent responded saying that this will be done. The Regent advised that some updating needs to be done at the Romanum Welcome Centre and this is to be done this coming week with the assistance of Ruggeris Parthicus-Britannicus. V. ANY OTHER BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR Dax Parthicus-Britannicus thanked all who attended the "Festival of Love" dance in Pompeii, yesterday. He further stated that "We strive to maintain and increase participation in Pompeii and Romanum, with our monthly dances. Thank you!"
