I. TRIBUNATE ELECTION
Official result: The members of the Tribunate for 2019 are: Ras Parthicus (Lead), Ruggeris Britannicus, Popov, Markus Parthicus-Vindelici, Asharr Furius Panius
II. TRIBUNE ISSUES SENT TO THE SENATE
Booker Beningborough: The items from the Tribulate were again discussed at the Senator only meeting this morning: building assistance and streets of Romanum and Pompeii. Clothing items were also discussed at the monthly Consul meeting.
III. WELCOME CENTRE RENOVATIONS
Ruggeris Britannicus: The work on the Welcome Centre moves steadily on. I would like to respectfully request at this next stage for all those who own prims of Romanum Groups or Clubs to place copies of these up in the Mockup, where the temporary pictures of the same mark their proposed places. Please place the group-inviting prims over their markers, but leaving a little of the marker exposed so that I might remove the marker, when each is completed. It would be helpful if you would temporarily place the prims in the Welcome Centre Group and tick share so that we can adjust their position if needed. On the moving day we will need mod rights for a brief while to move down the items. This also applies to Slaver Mardrakus's Slave Matching Board. These, as all the other material will be "moved down" at the appropriate time, when the old WC is emptied. There are one or two "models" yet to have their portraits painted by Tribune Popov and we crave your patience while this is completed. We also await the information that Bacchus Temple wishes to dispense from its prim, and one or two other things, such as a ruling as to whether Quinctius Family is eligible to be added to the family list. I await further news on the Welcome pack clothing as it was discussed earlier by the Consuls. One final issue. There have been several comments that people are wandering around the sim in modern clothing. How to reduce this? We believe that its best if the only entry to the sim is directly into the Welcome Centre, so that the clothing policy can be read. If you do a search on FS many LMs come up (from legacy links) that take you inside the sim in various places. Some of these places are not ideal, such as an empty shop, and the water underneath the new baths to name but two. If anyone knows how to remove defunct links from the search system and help us reduce it down to just the WC, I'd be grateful if they could contact myself or Ras. Once again, I thank all those who have given so generously of their time and expertise. My gratitude to you all.
ƛԼЄҲƖ ŔƠMƛƝƠѴ-ƤӇƠЄƝƖҲ : will portraits of existing leadership in Romanum and Pompeii be added to frames or not?
Ruggeris Britannicus : The current big board of all the officials will be retained in a slightly different position.
Tybalt Caproni: You need event providers to Join the welcome center group in order for you to easily move our ~ Posters/Info giving prims as needed for adjusting by setting them to group
Ruggeris Britannicus : Yes correct, you should also be in the group, I apologise, and anyone who maintains a prim.
Nҽɾσ Aɳƚσɳιυʂ Oƈƚαʋιυʂ Dɾαƙσɳ: Are there plans for someone to maintain the welcome center? It seems that stuff sometimes gets out of date, or new people/things arrive, and there really isn't a mechanism for keeping this updated. I'd hate to see all of the work Rugger and Ras are doing to keep things looking good start to get stale.
Ruggeris Britannicus : I have to talk with his highness about this. My suggestion might be that things are maintained by the various interested parties concerned, except for Imperial matters, but of course that it entirely in his gift or not, as may be the case.
Emperor Stephanus Galtier: Well, we should have a target completion date, no? I work better with deadlines, myself
Ruggeris Britannicus : I would hop that completion may be very close by the next senate meeting. I think that may be possible, as a target
Emperor Stephanus Galtier: Let's try for that. Then lets make earlier deadlines for different steps.
Tybalt Caproni: what the Prim Info spots / comment was earlier about was the reason some info gets stale. People responsible for that info can't edit the prim and update as they are not owners of the prim. So doing what Ruggeris was saying would allow for the people who are responsible for that info to be able to update it themselves
Ruggeris Britannicus : His highness might consider retaining the Welcome centre group as owners of the non administrative or Imperial prims so that trusted people involved may regularly update group materials. Or some such version.
Emperor Stephanus Galtier: Good idea
Nҽɾσ Aɳƚσɳιυʂ Oƈƚαʋιυʂ Dɾαƙσɳ: That's true, Tybalt, if the group is active and someone is running it. But I look in the current visitor center and see a few inactive groups. This stuff just sort of sits there because there is no one to initiate its removal or change. Maybe finding someone to simply be the point person to check in like quarterly with groups would help.
Prince Jin: Yes the theater group had been inactive since I have been gone. however I'm here to try and start it up, but I need everyone’s participation done.
IV. CITY EVENTS CO-ORDINATORS REPORT
Markus Parthicus-Vindelici: March is New Year in Romanum.
The Flamen Martialis opened the year with a ceremony at the Temple of Mars, followed by a celebration at Club Romanum
The Festival of Minerva will open on 15 March, with a ceremony and banquet, followed by a dance at Club Romanum.
Then the Olympics and Anniversary celebrations start 17 March.
Sponsors are welcome, and will be mentioned at events
The events calendar is being upgraded. The Emperor may have further details.
We are waiting for the Consuls to publish the finalised job descriptions.
We are in the period of time shifts (daylight saving). Will anyone with an event notify us if they are changing the time of an event, and check there are no clashes.
Emperor Stephanus Galtier: I have migrated the calendar. Markus, please send me an email privately so you can have access to the Google Romanum calendar.
Asharr Furius Panius: Markus the Furii are happy to support the Olympics and will donate 5k to help support any event needed
V. STATEMENT BY THE TRIBUNE LEADER
Ras Parthicus: On behalf of my fellow Tribunes I would thank all citizens of Romanum for their participation in the Election of the 5 Tribunes for 2019. We are determining times that our private and public meetings should be held, bearing in mind the locales of each Tribune and plebeians. At this stage there has been no change to us meeting on the 4th Sunday of each Month at the Rostra in the Forum. Tribunes are keen to assist in the furtherance of Festivals and Celebrations within the Empire of Romanum and we are fortunate to have one of the Empires Coordinators as part of this years Tribunate. We aim to work with the Emperor, Consuls, Senate and Officials of Romanum to implement any matters approved by the Plebeian Assembly and resolve issues raised by citizens.
VI. BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR
Emperor Stephanus Galtier: Cato has agreed to help me populate the new animal reserve with more animals and I'd like to have a grand opening this month. I will coordinate with markus and janu. Last, if all goes as we hope, Regulus and I will be in Europe April 6-21, therefore I will miss next month's Senate meeting. But I encourage you all have the meeting without me.
Popov: May we take this opportunity to remind the distinguished audience that the Olympics Art Competition is now opened and we are awaiting for entries. As a reminder the 2D art competition entries should be posted before this coming Wednesday, 13th 12.00 PM SLT and the performing art must be registered by March, 22nd.
ƤЄƬƦƲƧ ƓƝƛЄƲƧ ƤƠMƤЄƖƲƧ: I would just like to add to the events that the gladiatorial fights in the Colosseum on Saturday are under the protectorate of the goddess Minerva and as my colleague Kaeso told me the Chariot races are under the protectorate of the god Mars
Markus Parthicus-Vindelici: The idea of the opening of the animal reserve is quite good but I would say, its better after your travel, sire. March is already full with events
Asharr Furius Panius: For the next senate meeting would it be possible for an update from both the RP Committee and the Academy Committee I haven't seen anything from them for a while done.
Ruggeris Britannicus: May I take the opportunity to send all best wishes to dear Regulus, on our behalf.
Next open meeting Sunday 14 April at 11am SLT
Gratitude,
Ixion Parthicus Ἰξίων Παρθικος
