I. OPENING STATEMENT by Consul Stef Endriago Octavius Drakon

I spoke briefly with Emperor Stephanus earlier this week. He wanted me to relay his and Royal Consort Regulus’ deepest gratitude for all the well wishes and prayers that they have received during this difficult period. Regulus is scheduled and on track to leave rehab and return home on May 24th (in 5 days). There will be some time needed for Regulus to adjust to recovery back home, but the Emperor plans to slowly reintegrate back into Romanum after this date. Until the Emperor is fully back in Romanum, please continue to reach out to the other Consuls or Proconsuls if a need arises. With that, I will ask everyone to observe a moment of silence and give prayers to the gods and ask them to continue to assist in Regulus’ recovery and anyone else who may be suffering.

II. CITY EVENTS CO-ORDINATORS REPORT by Senator Janu Shimada Vindelici

A. Past events

We have celebrated Floralia, with a performance, a circus, themed races and art and garden contests. Particular thanks to Prince Jin, Ras and Popov. Congratulations to Senator Petrus, who won first prize in the garden contest. He held a garden party.

B. Future events

. Relay for Life 8-9 June - See Senator Strymon's note

. Second Pride 14-23 June. We are working on a shop unit, which will be in place till April, and possible entertainments. If anyone has further suggestions, please let me know

. Ixion is offering guided tours of Romanum for visitors, If anyone else wants to offer the occasional tour, please contact him or me. It would be good to offer tours in other languages.

. The Neptunalia Festival will take place in July. Pontifex Ariel will be leading the festivities.

C. The Official Calendar: It is important we keep this up to date. If there are additions, changes or deletions, please let one of the co-ordinators know. We can't monitor all the announcements. We are sending out a note of weekly events to other groups.

D. Other events: We have an extensive list of contacts. If you need help arranging an event, please contact us.

D. Rad Parthicus: I wanted to acknowledge that what the coordinators do has the potential to be a big job and can easily get messed up by people not paying attention or communicating well. Under these circumstances, things have gone quite well. I have a question about the calendar. I know for a while two calendars were showing up? Did that get fixed?

Janu Shimada Vindelici: I believe so. The old calendar still shows if you have access on Google. But if you un-tick the box, it disappears. I believe everyone is using the new calendar

Asharr Furius Panius: In regards to the Floralia Photo Competition have the winners of the event been paid the prizes? or will they be?

Popov: all the prizes have been settled at the exception of the winner whom I haven't had the opportunity to see up to now therefore I can non settle this account

III. RELAY FOR LIFE ROMANUM PARTICIPATION by Senator Strymon Odrysius Parthicus

As many of you already know this year we have applied for a parcel at the RFL Camp event which will be at 8 and 9 June, which is only 3 weeks from now. The land is given for use for free, so we have been allowed to build our camp on a plot 120 x 64 m with 1500 prim allowance. We are working on the build already even the builders access to the place will be open just a week before the event itself. The opening of the event is at 10 am SLT at 8th of June and it is closing officially at 10 am SLT on 9th June. It continue fully 24 hours and during all the time it least there are people doing their rounds but also stopping here and there, showing interest and asking about the sims presented. The request of the RFL team to all the citizens and friends of Romanum is to help us make our camp look active and by their present there as much as they can. I want to turn also to the Emperor and event organisers with the request for those 24 hours only, those who can and want, to move the planned events from their usual places to our camp at the track even I am not sure we will have access to the stream. Please keep in mind that the whole event is General rated.. We have arranged to be allowed to use weapons and meters for single events.

Ruggeris Britannicus: Some of the elements of the new Welcome centre have been requested for the Pride Sop and the RFL Camp - I hope those that control items not made by me will be able to cooperate with that if needed.

IV. TRIBUNATE REPORT by Tribune Leader Ras Parthicus

- Welcome Centre Matters

Upgrading the free outfit in the giveaway kits at the Welcome Centre. A short toga that Identifies Romanum and SPQR has been produced that should fit 6 different types of mesh body. At this stage I have not been able to source a full perm edition of an niramyth/aesthetic outfit and I am still working on getting one to fit classic avatars.

Attendance at the Welcome Centre to greet new visitors: An ongoing matter - It is to be hoped that Tribunes and Senators will take the opportunity to greet visitors to the Romanum Welcome Centre.

Up to date information: An ongoing issue is the currency of the information notecards for each display. We seek the assistance of display holders to keep theirs up to date so that the Welcome Centre does not become a museum.

Displays: A suggestion was made at the last Plebeian Assembly Meeting (and a request received from a citizen) that each display concerning the paths/positions/roles that one may aspire to in Romanum, give out a notecard about duties/matters each is responsible for and do. This will require some work but will be attended to in due course.

- Video Competition

A draft entry form for the Video Competition has been forwarded to the Leadership Group. Issues to be covered include permissions for music in a submission and copyright. Prize winning videos will primarily be shown in the Romanum Welcome Centre but they may also be shown to a wider audience in lands and times distant from ours.

- Issues from the Previous Tribunate

The matter of trees, especially Romanum 5, will be held in abeyance until the Emperor returns to take up full duties.

Servi/Slave Group: Tribune Rugger serves on this group and advises that draft documents have been prepared and commented on. Further meeting/s to be held to firm them up and to cover some additional matters.

As well as their own private work/matters in Romanum, Tribunes are also involved in supporting Pride and RLF and developing promotional material for Romanum.

We are still looking for a scribe to help record the meeting proceedings. We are also trying alternate times for meetings because of the wide spread of time zones that our Tribunes live in, while at the same time allowing for citizens to attend the meetings. Lag has caused a number of problems at meetings in the Rostra and we may need to look for another venue.

The next meeting of the Plebeian Assembly will be held at 10am 26th May 2019 in the Rostra.

We the Tribunes and Plebeians of Romanum also pray that the Gods continue to look over our beloved Emperor Stephanus Galtier and his husband RegulusAntius Rufus, to ensure continued recovery and return to Romanum. Ita Est

D. Rad Parthicus: I have a couple questions for Ras and the Tribunes. First, when do you need full approval for the video competiton? And second, the notecards in the visitor center - are these all being written by you and Rugger, or have you reached out for help from people familiar with each role/area?

Ras Parthicus: The sooner the better.

Ruggeris Britannicus : If possible the respective leaders in each role shown, but otherwise a summary by ourselves

D. Rad Parthicus: Follow up - Can we do anything from the Consul level to encourage people to get those written?

Ras Parthicus: - but let us draw up the list and see what ruggeris and I can attend to

V. UPDATES FROM VARIOUS ROMANUM GROUPS

Janu Shimada Vindelici: On Friday 7th of June: opening temple of Mithras and inauguration of Ulrik (ulrik.macfanatic) as Pontifex at 1PM (slt); Friday 14th of June opening temple of Diana and inauguration of Talos Raven Parthicus (talospup) as Flamen at 1PM (slt)

Tybalt Caproni: Both aforementioned temple openings will most likely have celebrations tied in with club Romanum Following. Gladiators Chariots in June as usual & thanks for your support

Ariel Parthicus-Vindelici: I would like to announce that, for reasons of RL duties, I can no longer be a DJ at Neptune's from Monday 27 May. Should anyone have time and interest to work as a DJ at Neptune's Mondays between noon and 2pm, he can let me know

The next senate meeting will be on June 9, 2019 at 11:00 am SLT.
